Cockatiels

Cockatiel Informationnymphicus hollandicus
General:
Cockatiels are native to Australia. They have an average Life span of 15 to 20 years. They are sociable and easy to tame. They do well as individuals or as pairs. They have the ability to talk and they like to whistle.
Housing:
For one Cockatiel a cage of size at least 18X18X26 but larger is better, there are nice 30X30X36 cages on the market at very reasonable rates. They need plenty of toys and like to chew so make sure to get toys with wood parts. We buy all our toys from Chew Too Toys in Andover Minnesota. We use water bottles but still provide a dish of water so they can take a bath.
Diet:
We feed all our Cockatiels a Quality seed mix with plenty of grains. We feed Natural Gold Small pellets in a separate dish. We also feed fresh vegetables on a daily basis. We provide both a mineral block and cuttle bones .

We breed Cockatiels in Pearl, White-face, Lutino, Albino, Cinnamon, Pied and combinations of these.
